Industries that increasingly rely on this technology are Data Centers, Medical, Data Storage, Telecommunications, Networking, Broad-cast/CATV, and Defense/Government.

The demand for well trained and qualified Fiber Optic Technicians (FOT) is high. The FOT installs and assembles fiber optic cables and tests them against specs.This course combines theory with a hands-on learning lab and provides students with the skills they need to find entry-level employment as FOT. The course includes the FOA credentialing exam which is a globally recognized industry certification.

Prerequisite: Must be able to distinguish between different colors and possess manual dexterity to complete fine motor tasks. Minimum 8th grade level proficiency required. All instruction and testing in English
